View all satellite suggestions
Permission: Anonymous User
Steps:
- Visit SatNOGS DB
- On the side menu, click on
All Suggestions - At the top of the page, make sure that
Satellitesoption is selected (blue-highlighted) at the top of the page, if not click on it to display theSatellitespanel - Satellite suggestions table should be visible
- For a detailed view of a suggestion click on the right arrow of the
Detailscolumn
On the suggestions table you can select the visible columns and filter suggestions by pre-existing options or with custom string

View details of a satellite suggestion
Permission: Anonymous User
Steps:
- Follow any of the "View all Satellite Suggestions", "View Suggestions of a specific Satellite", or "View Suggestion History of a specific Satellite" guides to get the suggestion table
- For a detailed view of a suggestion click on the right arrow of the
Detailscolumn - The suggestion entry should be visible
For inspecting the changes from the previous entry, at the top of the page, click on the
Difference option to display the Difference panelAdd
Add suggestion for a new satellite
Permission: Logged-in User
Steps:
- Visit SatNOGS DB
- On the side menu, click either on
All SatellitesorAll Suggestions - At the top left of the page click on
Actionsmenu - Select
Suggest New Satelliteoption - New suggestion page with empty satellite entry form should load, for a detailed explanation of each field check the form fields section
- After filling the form with the necessary info, click on
Createbutton - You will be re-directed to the suggestions page of the satellite and you will receive a popup confirmation message of success
Add suggestion for existing satellite
Permission: Logged-in User
Steps:
- Visit SatNOGS DB
- Go to satellite page
- At the top left of the page click on
Actionsmenu - Select
Edit <satellite_name>option - New suggestion page with filled satellite entry form should load, for a detailed explanation of each field check the form fields section
- After filling the form with the necessary info, click on
Updatebutton - You will be re-directed to the suggestions page of the satellite and you will receive a popup confirmation message of success
Add suggestion for satellite based on existing one

- Go to satellite page
- At the top of the page, if the satellite has suggestions then

Detailscolumn in the suggestions table - At the top left of the page click on
Actionsmenu - Select
Add to Suggestionif the base suggestion belongs to other user orModify Suggestionoption if the base suggestion belongs to you - New suggestion page with filled satellite entry form should load, for a detailed explanation of each field check the form fields section
- After filling the form with the necessary info, click on
UpdateorModifybutton depending on who owns the base suggestion. - You will be re-directed to the suggestions page of the satellite and you will receive a popup confirmation message of success
