View all satellite suggestions

Permission: Anonymous User

Steps:

  1. Visit SatNOGS DB

  2. On the side menu, click on All Suggestions

  3. At the top of the page, make sure that Satellites option is selected (blue-highlighted), if not click on it to display the Satellites panel

  4. Satellite suggestions table should be visible

  5. For a detailed view of a suggestion click on the right arrow of the Details column

  4. Go to the detailed view of the suggestion you want to use as base by clicking on the right arrow of the Details column in the suggestions table

  5. At the top left of the page click on Actions menu

  6. Select Add to Suggestion if the base suggestion belongs to other user or Modify Suggestion option if the base suggestion belongs to you

  7. "New Suggestion" page with filled satellite entry form should load, for a detailed explanation of each field check the form fields section

  8. After filling the form with the necessary info, click on Update or Modify button depending on who owns the base suggestion.

  2. Find and view the suggestion

  3. Inspect and review the suggestion and verify details and changes against the given citation

  4. At the top left of the page click on Actions menu

  5. Select "Review Suggestion" option

  6. "Review Suggestion" popup should show up, select verdict (Approve/Reject), add review message to inform suggestion owner and click on Submit button

  7. You should be re-directed to "All Suggestions" page and receive a popup confirmation message of success

Followed Norad ID 
The best Norad ID candidate for this satellite, the value of this field is used for acquiring TLE sets from sources when satellite is not identified (uses temporary Norad ID)
Name 
The name of the satellite, if more than one use the official or the most popular
Other names 
Other possible names of the satellite
Description 
Short description of the satellite and its mission
Owner/Operator 
Who owns/operates the satellite, this field is still in an experimental phase, please ignore if none of the options apply.
Status
The current status of the satellite
future satellite hasn't been launched yet
in orbit satellite is in orbit
re-entered satellite has been decayed and is not in orbit any more
launch failed satellite has failed to get launched
Reception Status
The current reception status of the satellite
Unknown (default) No claims of reception
Unverified claim of reception without public evidence
Partially Verified claim of reception with partial evidence, for example evidence of transmission on expected frequency or expected type of transmission or expected transmission interval etc
Verified claims of reception with evidence that identifies without doubt the satellite, for example demodulated/decoded frames or a strong combination of partial evidence that can not be challenged.
